Meaningfully generate and use strategic information

GO₂AL will consolidate and generate high- quality data on oxygen needs, implementation, financing and market health, as well as measure and report progress towards global objectives. This working group will support prioritized countries to strengthen data and monitoring systems and ultimately contribute to the increased availability and meaningful use of high-quality oxygen data and information at the national to global levels. This working group will also monitor and evaluate the progress of GO₂AL. An independent mid-term evaluation of GO₂AL ‘s performance will be commissioned in 2027

Objectives: meaningfully generate and use strategic information

Outputs/activities:

• Develop GO₂AL’s KPIs and accountability mechanism
• Develop a repository for oxygen data and regularly publish oxygen dashboards
• Enable research to fill knowledge/evidence gaps
• Promote and increase the meaningful use of information and evidence to inform oxygen-related policy, planning, implementation and evaluations

Expected outcomes:

• Regular tracking of progress of GO₂AL activities
• Increased availability of accurate and transparent data on key oxygen system indicators and evidence
• Increased meaningful use of available information at the national and global level

Targets 2030:

Strategic information routinely and widely generated and used to inform and improve outcomes and impact.
